Focus: Mental Health and Environmental Justice

On our own, in advance of our facilitators returning to work with us later this week, we revisited the eight focus statements that we developed in April.  Our goal was to narrow down our focus to just one in light of the limited time and money that we are able to expend.  Well, we were successful in getting to two finalists: Mental Health and Environmental Justice.  It killed me that we were moving away from my favorite, Civic Engagement, but compromise is apparently valued at Bob Goldman Law.  And in advance of our next session, we are reading a guide titled “Understanding Problems, Their Causes, and Approaches to Solutions” from the Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society.
